The M word

Life is pretty amazing. Not always in the way you hope it would be. It can be totally annoying and exacerbating.

All my friends are either married or on their way to getting married or trying to get married. I say this cause this seems to be all that’s on the topic at the moment.
Its what parents talk to me about, what friends talk to me about and even work colleges who are so into the whole “getting it where/when you can” are trying to set me up with eligible Muslim men. They question why am I not married? Why indeed. Why do people have to be paired up to be seen to be happy?

Basically it has got to the stage that I can’t talk to anyone male for fear of getting knowing looks from work colleges and more from friends.

Anyway both parents have now taken it on themselves to “present” people. Why does it have to happen to me? I know it has to happen at sometime but I think this is the worst and confusing time they could have chosen.

As with all of life when it rains it pours and I now have a nice man talking to me of what I am sure is the same subject.
Life is indeed interesting, confusing, exacerbating, exhilarating, tiring, confusing and damn good at the moment.

It's spring and the hormones are going crazy. Also because this season usually symbolises beginning of life for most.

Join the club....peeps have been hinting...friends have been calling saying things like 'haye, bariskaga godhma cuneyna' (trans: when we we eat your rice. So yea....the M word has become practically customary in every conversation I have.

Glad to hear that life is damn good now...mashaAllah

InshaAlla kheyr....u never know....this might be the way u meet your right now :)

Native its so true when you say "kheyr....u never know....this might be the way u meet your right now :)" Just funny how it all comes in one go is all.

WA couldn't agree more. I have decided to become a niqabi for this reason - don't want this virus hitting me cause when it hits it seems to hit fast and hard!!! LOL!!!

GF weather has something to do with it. You would not believe the conversations I am having with people nowa days...

Lets see what happens eh?

The marriage talk will never cease till u actually get hithced .. it will be part and parcel of every convo u have with ur parents, adeers;, eedoos, habaryars, abtis, cosins even .. etc.

but is saying that marriage completes our deen so one must have an open door policy to it .. just make sure is the kind of door that attracts the 'right' type.

Dee Nooh welcome back bro. I have put up with it for a long time and it's not realy that bad cause I have the ability to let things in my head and straight out again without them affecting me too much.

How does one have a door that attracts the right type?

GF why you taking such pleasure in my pain and embarresment eh? Brother you cause me pain...

NM - would I dare let anything happen so long as you come back safe from Egyptain men I will be happy too.

Oh its funny but I have had long and long conversations with my parents that all seem to start with 'this man has contacted your father. he says he met you last year when you were...' Whats up with these brothers that they have elephant memories. I swear its wrong to remeber me cause I don't tend to make much of an impression. I like blending in the background.
I met a dude last year who remebered me from like 04 when he visted my home with other people and I had served them TEA!!!

MEN ARE SUCH WEIRDOS

I'm just playin with you....it's just that when I encounter situations similar to yours I have a response that works very well.

The truth of the the matter is, you have nothing to stress over.....the plans of Allah will never consult the plans of man.

Do not be content with stories of those before you....go forth and create your own story.

GF - Men are certanly something alright. You guys are just something else totally!!! I know you are only teasing and I do truely believe that what was meant to be will be IA.

Dee Nooh - a state of mind is something I can relate to. Women are special in everysense of the word.

NM - woman are def amazing.

Men are realy driving me mad at moment. They are breaking the rules and expecting me to follow. I am nice person and will avoid hurting people till they cross that line and then I will have to tell them whats what and then they might get hurt.

Why do men do this?
